PE
Intent
- The ability to acquire new knowledge and skills exceptionally well and develop an in-depth understanding of PE.
 - The willingness to practise skills in a wide range of different activities and situations.
 - The ability to remain physically active for sustained periods of time and an understanding of the importance of this in promoting long-term health and well-being.
 - A keen interest in PE. A willingness to participate eagerly in every lesson, highly positive attitudes and the ability to make informed choices about engaging fully in extra-curricular sport.

- To give children a wider variety of sporting opportunity through our PE enhancement days.

 - Highly skilled teachers and quality specialist coaches who attend school to deliver coaching sessions to both our children and our staff.
 - Extra swimming sessions for weaker swimmers
 - Competitive cluster sports at Malton Sports centre and total sports events.
 - Multi-skills afternoons with cluster schools.
 - Specific vocabulary teaching within lessons.
 - Year 5/6 play leaders lead activities at playtime with the support of the adult
 - Develop the outdoor area for all children in order to further their active lifestyles through promotion of exercise.

- All children have taken part in competitive sports against cluster and federation schools regularly
 - Children have benefitted from high quality P.E from teachers and qualified sports coach.
 - All stakeholders have been in involved in decisions on sporting activities to undertake
 - Playtime provision has been enhanced by resources purchased and playtime engagement has improved
 - Extra swimming sessions for KS2 to be undertaken in next academic year due to unforeseen increased prices of transport this academic year
 - Year 5/6 children who have undertaken sports leader training and facilitated activities for younger children increasing sports participation across schools
 - Children have had opportunity to take part in extra curricular sports activities
